Premiering this week is the 5th and final episode of Unplugged, filmed at PAX East (Thanks PA!), the Boston leg of Penny Arcade’s booming gaming festival. Fans and gamers flooded the Unplugged booth and experienced the show firsthand by playing Skullgirls, a 2-D fighter, similar to Marvel vs Capcom 2, which was crowdfunded on Indiegogo last year, on the Surface Pro 2 and then taking the battle into the ring for some over sized glove encased hand-to-over sized glove encased hand combat.

In episode 5, round one pits two professional Skullgirls players, Michael and John, against one another on the Surface. Michael “McPeanuts” Landers is currently the number 4 ranked Skullgirls player in the world having won Toryuken 2012, Summer Jam 6, Winter Brawl 7, GUTS 1 and GUTS 2.  John “Zidiane” Silvia finished 13th at EVO (Evolution Champion Series) where the largest Skullgirls tournament to date was held.
