Life through a lens

With 12 megapixels and Carl Zeiss optics, the picture perfect results that can be achieved with the Nokia N8 beat many existing compact cameras on the market – and are even comparable to the images produced by leading SLRs.

And, over the last few months we have shared lots of tips and tricks to help you capture the very best pictures.

From the perfect portrait to a shot of the amazing landscape, or all the action as it happens, you can get the very best from your camera to capture all the details of any moment.

Is light your language?

Since 2005 Carl Zeiss has worked with Nokia to integrate its optical lenses into the latest phones. And now, Carl Zeiss is inviting photographers and photo enthusiasts from all over the world to enter their pictures and show how they interpret “the language of light.” With photographers using light to add meaning to their pictures on every level, this is a great opportunity to showcase your talents and eye for detail.

“We are looking for photographers who make something visible that would otherwise remain hidden. Images from which creativity and personal composition exude, will win,” explains Martin Klottig, Marketing Manager in the Cameral Lens Division at Carl Zeiss.

This competition is open for entries until 16 January 2011, so there is still time to enter. Find out more here.

Camera school

To help you on your way to producing an award-winning entry for the competition, we thought we’d share the videos from our Nokia N8 Camera School. The first video in the series is posted below, but we’ve also added links for the lessons on nature, inspiration, urban landscapes, and street photography.

We hope the tutorials help with your entry and please share your inspiring photographs with us here at the Nseries Blog.

Good luck!
