A fan of Lumia 710s

NEW YORK, NY, United States – Nokia and T-Mobile today announce that the Nokia Lumia 710 will be coming to the US in early January. The phone offers excellent technology in an extremely affordable package, allowing people in all walks of life access to a highly polished and intuitive smartphone experience.

Keeping you close to the people that matter is at the heart of Nokia’s Lumia experience. The Nokia Lumia 710 is designed to be the hub of your social media and communications life. Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn are automatically integrated into the People Hub to show the latest social updates from your contacts alongside their pictures and contact details.

The screen quality is excellent, visible even in the brightest sunlight thanks to the ClearBlack TFT display, which also helps boost the contrast to make colours glow. You won’t have to squint either: a pin-sharp resolution of 800 x 400 pixels on a 3.7-inch panel makes text fully readable and pictures crisp.

The Lumia 710 camera

No need to carry a separate camera with the Nokia Lumia 710. On the back, there’s a five-megapixel, auto-focus camera that can also capture HD video. The results of your creative work can be shared straight from the camera software. You can either upload your photos to Facebook for social sharing, or to SkyDrive, Microsoft’s free cloud storage service, which gives you close control over access.

This being a Nokia, Maps are a key part of the proposition. You won’t get lost thanks to the downloadable Nokia Maps from Marketplace and Nokia Drive’s powerful, intuitive and free turn-by-turn voice-guided navigation. Elsewhere entertainment and business are equally well catered for. On the one hand, there’s Xbox integration and a wealth of top-titles to play on the move. On the other, there’s a full Microsoft Office suite, including access to cloud storage, so you’re never far away from your work documents.

Coming in white-on-black and black-on-black versions, the Nokia Lumia 710 is expected to be available on January 11, 2012 and will be sold on T-Mobile.com, in T-Mobile retail stores, select dealers, and national retailers nationwide. The expected price is $49.99 after rebate and a two-year service agreement and qualifying Classic voice and data plan are required.
