Nokia Lumia 900 announcement – the facts

Announced today at CES in Las Vegas, the new Nokia Lumia 900 on AT&T is designed specifically with the US in mind and we thought we’d get you the headline facts *right now* so you can take a look for yourself and let us know what you think.

So without further ado:

1. Nokia and LTE

Lumia 900 is Nokia’s first LTE smartphone and takes advantage of AT&T’s 4G LTE network for high-performance browsing and video and audio streaming – up to ‘ten times faster than 3G’.

2. Enjoying your content is amazing

Lumia 900 is built for a rich content experience – the large 4.3 inch AMOLED ClearBlack Display provides a superior viewing and touch experience on a device that still fits easily in your hand and the long-lasting (1830 mAH) battery will allow you to enjoy content all day long. The Lumia 900 will deliver a rich Web browsing experience wherever you are with Internet Explorer Mobile.

3. Continuing to bring awesome camera experiences

The 8MP primary camera includes Nokia’s exclusive Carl Zeiss optics, with large aperture (F2.2) and wide angle focal length (28mm) for high-quality, uncropped images even in low-light conditions. The Nokia Lumia 900 includes a front-facing camera that also has a large aperture and wide angle lens to ensure sharp, bright images for high-quality video calling, right out of the box.

4. Lumia with Windows

The Windows Live Tiles deliver real-time updates straight to the start screen, making it easier to keep in touch with the people that matter most through People Hub. Fully customisable, I can see homescreens changing regularly! Maybe that’s just me. I reckon the Xbox Live tile will likely be my ‘most used’ – how about you?

5. Never getting lost – always a bonus

Nokia Drive is available as a free download, and provides free, voice-guided, turn-by-turn navigation with dedicated in-car user interface. Perfect for getting home from Las Vegas!
