GLOBAL – If you’re looking to download an app or a game on your Symbian smartphone or Series 40 phone, the Nokia Store is the place to go. Nokia Beta Labs has released a couple of updates for the Store recently, downloadable right now.

Nokia Store for Series 40

For those with a Series 40 touch-and-type phone, the Nokia Store client for Series 40 provides a preview of the new version. Updates include application updates, the ability view your search history and publisher information.

This beta version of Nokia Store is expected to eventually become the default for Series 40 touch-and-type phones, and the team would like your help in testing this before they deploy it to the general public.

Nokia Store for Symbian

The next update to Nokia Store is for all devices running Symbian^3, Symbian Anna or Nokia Belle – called Nokia Store QML client.

Improvements have been made to to the application updates, especially when multiple items are available to update. You’ll also see an improvement in responsiveness to the Store in general when downloading large files.

There are some other bug fixes that we haven’t got any details of, but in general this Nokia Store QML client update will make the whole thing work a little better.

These updates aim to close the divide between low-end and high-end phones to bring a unified experience.
