An exclusive Nokia Lumia app in advance of the summer blockbuster that some lucky ones have seen already and the rest of us have to wait until this weekend to line up and get our superhero fix. Yes folks, it’s The Dark Knight Rises, the most eagerly anticipated (by at least one Nokia Connects writer) film of the year. Izzi has taken a look at the app, and shared a great video review on Nokia Innovation:

Are you as exited as me? Tried this app yet (find it in the Nokia Collection on your Lumia)? I just spent 5 minutes with it. My verdict? Yes!

In Pakistan, the 2012 App Summit has just ended, and as The Express Tribune reports, those who attended learned that ‘locally developed mobile applications…are gaining popularity in Pakistan’s mobile software market’. Especially as they cater to local customs, traditions and events. The focus of the report was mostly on Ramadan apps that can be found in the Nokia Store (and are added to and augmented year on year) such as the uQuran and the Quick Qibla. Rabia Nizami – Business Development Manager, DX for Nokia Near East region – said:

‘By means of this workshop, we have trained more than 50 app developers. These programmers will now go back and develop more localised apps

There’s a video review at WPCentral of the exclusive app, including a look at the maps and navigation feature (‘the nicest looking thing’) and the augmented reality button:
