At the 1959 inaugural Grammys, only twenty-two awards were given out. This year there were an incredible eighty-one categories. As Dylan sang so poetically, “times they are a changing”. One reason for our current obsession with kick ass music is the 21st century mobile lifestyle: a staggering 42% of smartphone users claim to have between 2000 and 5000 songs on their phones.

Movers and booty shakers

It’s this relationship between tunes and tech, which has prompted Nokia Music to co-host the pre Grammys brunch with Jay-Z’s label RocNation.
