Calling all creatives! Are you a budding photographer with ambition and imagination? If so, you’ll be happy to hear that Nokia in collaboration with Talenthouse has hooked up with the UK’s most influential lifestyle outlet: DAZED & CONFUSED to launch a unique hunt for photographers just like you. Our goal is simple: to discover the best ‘urban city/street style’ photography captured in ‘low light’ conditions.

Get the low-down

The first step is to grab a camera, go out and capture your own urban aesthetic in ‘low light’ conditions —think lamp lights, shady characters, neon signs, late-night street parties—simply submit your photo online by July 24th. Then, Nokia, DAZED & CONFUSED and London-based photographer Tyrone Lebon will get together to pick their fifty favourites. These lucky folk will all get sent trial Lumia 925 smartphones, and will be sent out again to capture some more fabulous low-light urban snaps using the Lumia’s on-board camera.

 

The Nokia Lumia 925 is particularly effective in low light conditions, with its enhanced software, Carl Zeiss lens and effective ISO settings that have shot up to 3200, so the finalists will state-of-the-art equipment to work with.

Dazzle Dazed

Once these Lumia 925 portfolios have been uploaded, DAZED & CONFUSED and Nokia will pick their top three photographers and this lucky trio will get an all-expenses-paid VIP trip to the Burton High Fives in August 2013, where they’ll get to take even more photos with their Nokia Lumia 925 in stunning New Zealand! Peter Jackson, eat your heart out. The cherry on this already delicious cake? Their final shots will get published in the September issue of DAZED & CONFUSED!

Vote Lowlight! 

That’s a lot, but it’s not all—Nokia are, as you know, all about listening to the public, and so, even if you don’t win, you’ll still get to vote on your favourite of the submitted images. The photographer with the lion’s share of the public vote will win a Burton snowboard and a brand new Nokia Lumia 925 smartphone! Not bad, eh?

It’s that easy. You can use any photographic device, so why not get yourself into some low urban lighting and get snapping! Submission period runs from 12th June and 24th July, 2013.
