After you have installed the Amber update for your Nokia Lumia running on Windows Phone 8, you will now also be able to run the Nokia Video Trimmer and Nokia Video Upload tools.

Trimming and Uploading

Nokia Video Trimmer is a simple and fast editing tool that lets you select new start and stop points for the videos you have recorded. Sounds simple? It is!

This is a great way of removing unwanted beginnings, ends, or both, and lets you shorten your video clips for easy sharing. Video Trimmer is a lossless editor, which means the original video quality remains intact.

After you’ve trimmed your videos to their perfect length, there’s a good chance you’ll want to upload them to YouTube – enter Nokia Video Upload.

Simply log into your YouTube account with the Nokia Video Upload, give your video a title, set it for public or private viewing and then, upload your video directly to YouTube. If your video clip is shorter than 15 seconds you can use your cellular data connection, or there’s WiFi for anything longer.

The video will be uploaded in the full quality you shot it in, even 1080p HD quality.

Access

Video Trimmer is integrated with the editing options in your camera and Video Upload is part of the sharing options.

Both Nokia Video Trimmer and Nokia Video Upload can be launched from the Apps menu and directly from your camera roll, or from an album if you are viewing a video.

Both apps will be available to download for all Nokia Lumia smartphones running Windows Phone 8 that have the Lumia Amber software.

Happy filming!
