Microsoft Surface Pro 2 Featured on Geek & Sundry’s UNPLUGGED Series

We are thrilled to announce the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 will be featured in Geek & Sundry’s new series, Unplugged.

Inspired by Geek & Sundry’s passion for technology and gaming, we reached out to Felicia Day (The Guild, Supernatural) and her YouTube network in hopes of developing a series together.  For those not familiar with Geek & Sundry, the network and geek empire was founded by Day with Kim Evey and Sheri Bryant in 2012 as part of YouTube’s original channels initiative. Since Geek & Sundry’s launch, Day’s mission has been to honor geek culture. The channel features a wide range of programming from superhero comedy Caper to fan favorites like Co-Optitude and TableTop hosted by Wil Wheaton. Unplugged will bring video games and technology together for five exciting, action-packed episodes.

The Unplugged series from the Geek & Sundry creative team will feature established gaming talent from YouTube bringing videogame scenarios into real life. From aerial acrobatics to chicken chasing, the show will cover the gamut of gaming. Ashly Burch (Hey Ash Whatcha Playin’), a video game veteran and voice actress (Borderlands 2 and Aliens: Colonial Marines), will host.

Special guests including tech obsessed Justine Ezarik (iJustine) and video game enthusiast Clinton Jones (Pwnisher) will take part in challenges based on well-known video game franchises.

Unplugged Episode 1 – debuts April 3rd:

  • League of Legends- Jesse Cox (OMFGcata) and Naomi Kyle (IGN) play LoL and become real fantasy warriors while experiencing an all-out LARP battle.

Be sure to check out the entire Unplugged series at Geek and Sundry.

Upcoming episodes of Unplugged include:

  • WarThunder- Clinton Jones (Pwnisher) and Sean Fujiyoshi (NigaHiga) play WarThunder and experience what it’s like to fly a real plane- and have a dogfight!

Unplugged is an ambitious project that demonstrates the amazing experience that the Surface Pro 2 has to offer to gamers and exemplifies a perfect partnership between two great technology companies: Geek & Sundry and Microsoft.
