Win a deep sea adventure of a lifetime with Lumia!

Nokia teams up with Fabien Cousteau in his historic daring underwater mission. Fancy joining him?

The adage that humanity knows more about outer space than it does about its oceans is about to change thanks to an imminent record-breaking adventure.

Led by intrepid aquatic explorer, Fabien Cousteau (grandson to the legendary Jacques-Yves Cousteau), Mission 31 will see a team of aquanauts living and working underwater for 31 days at a depth of 20 meters below sea level.

Accompanying the team on their momentous marine endeavor will be several members of the Lumia family, each providing their own unique contribution.

Whether that’s capturing submerged life on the Lumia 1020’s 41MP camera (with underwater housing), recording scientific achievements via Microsoft Office on the Nokia Lumia 2520, or staying connected to social channels using the Lumia 1520, every aspect of the survey will be covered with the help of these extreme-environment devices.

The timing of Mission 31 pays respect to the 50th anniversary of Jacques-Yves Cousteau’s Conshelf II expedition, which witnessed similar underwater workings at depths of 15 metres. Their adventure runs between the 1st June and 2nd July 2014.

However, it won’t just be the aquanauts that will experience life in Aquarius, their underwater home.

You too can follow the month-long exploration with live information being fed to Nokia’s social media channels throughout the mission.

We’re also giving two lucky people a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit this pioneering underwater quest in person.
