Style and Sensibility: Fashion Apps for Lumia

Just in time for Fashion Week in New York, London and Milan, we’ve assembled for you some of the best Windows Phone fashion and style apps for your Lumia.

Are you a dapper dresser or more of a t-shirt and jeans kind of guy?

Even if you don’t aspire to be the next Beau Brummell, it’s always good to look neat and put-together. What you wear sends a signal on what kind of person you are, and people will respond in kind.

The band ZZ Top said it best, “Every girl’s crazy ‘bout a sharp-dressed man.”

fashionapp2Fashion

This free app compiles some terrific fashion and style blogs from around the world — including my favorite, The Sartorialist — as well as the latest runway looks and style, design and beauty news.

You can add more style blogs to your fashion feed, as well as share articles and images via email, text message or social media, and save the best looks on OneNote.

Style Saint

Billing itself as the “go-to resource for all things style,” this free and elegant-looking app sends you the freshest and most compelling style news and photographs three times a week.

StyleSainttrio

Create your own customized look-book with the app’s “tearsheets” feature, and share your stylebook via social media (sign-up is required, but it’s free). While this app is especially geared to women, Style Saint offers timeless advice no matter your gender.

Brit & Co.

This app offers articles not just on fashion and style, but also tech, health, food and home design.

BritCotrio

In addition, Brit & Co. sports DIY tutorials, from how to make a chic marble wall clock for just $10 to how to create the perfect at-home mobile bar. Feel free to share the tutorials and articles via email, text or social media.

Instagram BETA

Got a new pair of colorful kicks? Snap your sharpest looks and share them on Instagram. While you’re at it, follow some of the top Instagram accounts on style to stay up-to-date on Fashion Week.

They include designer Prabal Gurung (@prabalgurung), Scott Shuman’s The Sartorialist (@thesartorialist) and Men With Class and Men With Street Style (@menwithclass, @menwithstreetstyle).
