Your latest #LumiaChallenge: Hyperlapse

Get your Lumias at the ready, because it’s that time again! That’s right, your latest #LumiaChallenge is here — and this one is unlike any challenge we’ve ever done before.

It’s no secret that we get fired up whenever #LumiaChallenge time rolls around. We love to see all of the crazy, creative things that each of you come up with, and we’re always amazed by your skill and originality. Now, normally we give you a theme to explore through photography, but this month we’re doing things a bit differently. Are you ready to really think outside of the box?

Get hyped

For this challenge, we’re shaking things up with Hyperlapse, the smoothest timelapse app out there. Hyperlapse takes your first-person videos and transforms them into smooth and stabilized time lapses, using technology that has been 20 years in the making. All you have to do come up with a great idea, film it with your Lumia, and select a speed. Hyperlapse takes care of the rest. So for this challenge, we want to experience the world through your lens, as you capture your adventures and tweak them for maximum coolness. The more creative and exciting the better, so put on your thinking cap and start filming the world around you.

How to win

Once you’ve created your winning Hyperlapse entry, share it on Twitter or Instagram using the tags #LumiaChallenge and @LumiaVoices. You have 2 weeks from today to perfect your skills and submit an entry, and the winner will receive a unique Lumia 640 and an experience in a catered, outside environment to put Hyperlapse to the test.

But that’s not all. For this challenge, we’re also making some changes when it comes to choosing the winner. In fact, we won’t be choosing a winner at all — you will! We will choose our picks for the 10 most incredible entries and leave it in the community’s capable hands to crown the winner through vote, which will be available at this handy #LumiaChallenge voting page.
