Star Wars: Commander gets Worlds in Conflict expansion on Windows Phone

Visit new worlds and increase your reach in the Galactic War in this major update to the free “Star Wars”-themed strategy game.

As the war between the Empire and the Rebellion rages in “Star Wars: Commander,” there is a disturbance in the Force.

The combat strategy game has been updated on Lumia with “Worlds in Conflict,” a free major expansion that adds the ability to visit new worlds, such as Dandoran, Er’Kit, Yavin 4, and Hoth.

In case you’ve missed out on the battle so far, “Star Wars: Commander” lets you fight for the Galactic Empire (the dark side) or the Rebel Alliance (the light side) in their galactic civil war. Build and defend your base, train your troops, manage resources, and fight your way through the story campaign or against other players.

Team with or challenge iconic “Star Wars” characters like Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Princess Leia to spread tyranny or restore freedom.

The “Worlds in Conflict” update increases the influence of your actions from the starter planet of Tattooine. Unlock new planets by building and upgrading the Galactic Command Center, and then spread your influence across the galaxy.

In addition, the new Galaxy Map allows you to gather intelligence on your allies and rivals, and see the status of worlds in conflict.

A new World Conflicts system will delight multiplayer fans. Fight for your faction in ongoing tournaments on each world against other players to earn loot bonuses for future battles.

“Star Wars: Commander” is already one of the best real-time strategy games available on Windows Phone (it’s earned a permanent spot on my Lumia 1520), and this latest update only makes it better.
