In honor of the holiday, our engineering team decided to riff on our “Let it Snow…Faster” demo and create a Valentine’s Day version. You can read more about it here or see it for yourself. Enjoy!
Its a sweet demo :-)
Just noticed something in it. If you open it in IE9 and right-click anywhere on the page, the animation stop as the context menu pops. Whereas in FF, it seems like the context menu thread doesn't interfere with the page!
It runs at 3 FPS on Chrome for me and 60 on IE9... but couldn't this simply have been purposefully built to NOT work on other browsers? How can we know for sure that it is actually due to an increase in performance in IE9?
@xyzygy, because IE9 & 10 are using 'hardware accelerated graphics'. Windows 8 as an OS is also using HAG and so is my Windows phone.
I hope you will learn about HAG and GPGPU technologies and complain to your favorite browser vendors why they are still missing it rather than blaming MS with your folly remarks.
PS, always try to have impartial point of view, which is certainly hard thing to do if you are a typical troll.
