    Hi:

After installing Windows 8 in a virtual machine (Virtual Box), I proceeded to install Eudora (the Mozilla version).

I configured my usual accounts, and then I followed with the linking of my "Local Folder" (the one with the archive of messages out of the accounts themselves) located in my PC (the host) to the just-installed program (Eudora) using the shared folder option of the virtual software.

I observed certain difficulty in the task, that is, Eudora in Windows 8 did not finish completing the linking process.

I gave up of the experiment and when I returned to "the host" (my PC) and opened Eudora I encountered that the Local Folder was damaged.

It resulted to be a very complicated task my attempt to restore it. Because the "help" of Eudora does not contain so specific matter,  I had to google it, but not all the "solutions" I could find in my search worked for me.

Finally I could repair the folder (I believe).

As you can see, my first steps to try Windows 8 were a disaster.
