A few weeks ago we announced the availability of Windows Intune in 35 countries, and it’s great to see partners and customers taking advantage of Windows Intune and the free 30-day trial.
For those of you using the beta, we want to remind you that the beta period is coming to an end on April 18, 2011. Visit the Windows Intune website to learn how you can sign up for a 30-day trial or paid subscription. When you sign up for a 30-day trial or paid subscription, you will need to download the new client software and simply install it over the previously installed beta software. If you choose not to continue using Windows Intune, we recommend that you remove the client software and restore your computers to their pre-beta state.
I’d like to thank you for your participation in the beta and hope you have enjoyed your experience.
If you missed our virtual Windows Intune Technology Tune-up, you can still catch it on demand. Watch Microsoft Technical Fellow Mark Russinovich as he hosts the Windows Intune Technology Tune-up, a virtual roundtable event for IT professionals. This event is designed to jumpstart your trial of Windows Intune and includes product demonstrations, how-to tips and tricks and questions from viewers.
Since the launch, we’ve heard from more customers and partners across the world like Ai3, a French IT services firm, who says they are saving up to 20 hours a month with Windows Intune. Here is what Aziz Belaid, an IT Infrastructure Consultant at Ai3, has to say:
“Before, we devoted about five hours a week to monitoring and updating PCs. Now, we spend a maximum of one hour a week on PC management tasks, because Windows Intune makes everything so much easier.”
Ai3 is also spending less time on support and more time on other critical tasks by standardizing on Windows 7 Enterprise and centrally managing updates, remote assistance, and inventory tracking. Read more from our beta customers and partners. We look forward to sharing more Windows Intune success stories from folks like yourself.
For those who have not yet checked out the free 30-day trial, I encourage you to try out Windows Intune for your own business and take the headache out of PC management. If you’re looking for more information on the cost savings Windows Intune can deliver, check out this study from IDC. As always, detailed information can be found at www.windowsintune.com.
