I used to be great fan of Windows XP until it began to give me endless hiccups and I decided there and then to move up with the times. I am running on Windows 7 and looking to upgrade to 8 soon.

I'm still using Win95 & 98 on over 100 non networked PC's . I even roll xp back to Win98. That OS can be installed via erstore disk in 15 minutes!!

I've migrated corporations from XP to Vista to Windows 7 and each has had challenges but the benefits out weighed them. 7 is s leek platform and frankly if you're having to install the classic shell script to get it to look like XP then you don't know what you're doing.

Windows 8 isn't on the plans mainly due to the lack of a "Microsoft" solution to something similar to windows 7 desktop and the additional steps needed by the user to get to locations that were more direct in 7.

Of course you can run third party add ins to change the look and feel but nothing from the MSFT.

Retooling and retraining our workforce isn't an option.

Thanks for sharing the info and screen shots. Microsoft has www.mscui.net/.../Showcase.aspx for healthcare, can we expect something like in the showcase as a starting point so that users can see the benefit of windows 8. Windows 8 is not all about touch, we can develop some wonderful enterprise applications
