Dave Pezzner is one of our 4 Windows DJs and on tour in Australia and Japan until 20 September, but he took time out of his crazy tour schedule to send us this video of him spinning at the Triple Crown in San Francisco.
Awesome stuff if you ask me, and even more exciting given this morning’s announcement of Windows presenting sponsorship of the dB Conference at the Decibel International Festival of Electronic Music, Digital Art and New Media. Pezzner will be spinning and speaking at the Conference (which is free to the public).

For the next 24 hours, Round 6 of the Windows Recession Sweepstakes is now open. Comments today are an open thread – let us know whatever’s on your mind. If you like reading legal fine print, full Terms & Conditions can be found here.
Happy Monday, all! ;) I'm probably getting into a new project or 2 at work this week, so that's on my mind. Hope things get off to a good start!
Well, right now whats on my mind is: where's the RSS for the windows blog... (and don't worry, i'll find it, don't need to give me links or anything. i haven't even started looking yet. :P )
Nice tunes, will we see these on the zune market place? Meanwhile, still patiently waiting Nov. for the windows 7 phone, contract has been over for 2 years now. I need a cool phone!
Come on, Papa needs a Zune! LOL.... I'll donate the rest to charity or a school =)
Happy Monday! Did you have fun at the Redbull Flutag this weekend? I really hope so! Here...busy busy...so I won't be able to chat much with anyone! Hope to talk to you guys later today though!
It is a beautiful day out & a great start to the week...I hope the rest of the work week continues in such a positive way.
What software packages are people using for DJing? I'm not talking about mixing tracks per se, but rather for playlisting. I realize that basic WMP functionality "can" handle this, but are there other packages that are more intuitive and simple. A touchscreen interface would be desirable.
This Summer/Fall has been and will continue to be awesome for fans of Microsoft products. Windows Live Wave 4, Windows Live Essentials 2011 Beta, IE9, Windows Phone 7, Kinect for Xbox 360, and so much more! :)
First exposure to Windows 7 was on an Aspire One netbook. My other laptop runs Vista 64. W7 has really impressed me. Very responsive, fast start up and shut down (unlike my Vista laptop, where either take 5-10 minutes), and works very well in the small resource environment of the netbook. One of the reasons I got the model I did was the W7 that came on it - had heard it did well on netbooks and wanted to see for myself. :)
Gotta love the integration of music & technology. Granted the Auto-Tune has been a bittersweet effect of such a combination, but individuals like Girl Talk and Bassnectar take such an opportunity to a whole new level and create true musical drugs.

I agree, it certainly would make sense to have these on the Zune Marketplace.
I'm just hoping that Windows Phone 7 series actually gets encryption as an option so that it can still be used in the enterprise and not just for consumers... There is a lot of business to lose out there.
Love the contests
I with the rest and would love to see them on the Marketplace. I love my Zune HD, Flying all around the country for work and dont think I could make it without my Zune. AMOLED screen and rediculous battery life FTW. Drop the beats on the marketplace so we can all sync them up. Thanks. @techvudu
Its pretty good, now if I only had a WP7 device or Zune to listen to them on...
Not bad. Music makes the day go faster.
I just re-set up my studio yesterday. took a long break from producing music, finally decided it's time to dive back in. running fl studio 9 on win 7 x64!
@selaromdotnet (PS follow my djing at @djselarom)
Monday... a week and a half left to school...where did the summer go?
I haven't tried House music, but because I'm into Techno music I may have to give this tracks a good listen to.
That Zune would help my Monday go faster :)
Thomas.Bezak (At) Live.com
"You Set the Scene" has got to be the greatest song ever. @tissitater
It's Monday, Industrial/Trance music usually helps me through the day... can't say the same about "house"... kinda repetitive to my ears. Anywho.... These contests are great!
Hope I win a new laptop, we all know water, soda, and electronics don't mix. My kids just proved that milk and electronics don't mix either.
Another Monday and facing many projects at work. School starts this week to boot!
Another Monday and facing multiple projects at work. Facing the start of school too.
What software was being used in the video above? Ableton?
.... I got nothing.
Just got a new laptop.....Windows 7 is pretty awesome
Again: What software was being used in the video above? Ableton? @techsage
I just got a new Laptop......Windows 7 is great
Really anything on my mind? You guys are getting lazy with your contests ;). But I like lazy, it means I don't have to be creative with a response. (@tsrblke)
Just getting screwed off with my iphone :(
Windows DJs? What will you come up with next?
Daddy needs a new copy of Windows Ultimate!!
i am from india i need zune here micrsoft come on u make a good product and not launch it in india , by the way nice mix.

Trying to decide on upgrading older PC or buying new....
I listened toDave Pezzner's clip and I have to say sorry Dave but that's just not my cup of tea. But, to each his own so enjoy it it you like it.
Not a bad start to the week so far...winning would make it a GREAT week!
It's Monday, and all is well. Let it be so for the rest of this week Lord, please!
Hey, just reading my news feeds before firing up Visual Studio to work on my new project.
Well my 3rd year at Illinois Tech just started, and I just can't believe summer is over. Supposedly, 3rd year architecture is one of the harder years. Oh boy, not looking forward to it.
forgot to add this. ^_^
I would like to see Windows Phone 7 used as the OS for a portable media device, I think it would be a great interface
Music is always good to listen to!!!!!!! Except rap.
Monday has been rough. Job is getting hetic but I'm looking forward to applying to graduate school for next fall.. and quite possibly be in Seattle at UW
Col: 3:23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.
Interested to see if Windows 7 phone will be able to pull it all together and present a viable alternative to the iPhone, and prehaps more importantly, will Microsoft continue to back it for the next couple of years or just let it wither away and die like they've done before.
Awesome! MS has so many cool items coming out! The Win7Phone is a must buy for me! Gatta love that XboxLive App!! going to put all my favorite music on there!
A new Zune would be perfect for the cross county camping trip I'm planning with some friends
I have heard some of Pezzners tracks. My brother-in-law is a DJ and has played a couple recently at some of his gigs. Very cool!
I'm a pretty big house fan, but hadn't actually listened to Pezzner before. I like it! I've been listening to Alexkid and Luomo the past few days so I'm in the mood for some more deep house.
That was a nice video I had not heard of Pezzner before. I hope the Sweepstakes keeps going as long as the recession has.
I love that MS is pushing the creative market. I remember when I started doing photo and video work and people kept telling that if I wanted to do creative work that I **HAD** to get a Mac. I declared right then and there that I would continue working on PC and do better work than all of them!
Photoshop and Lightroom for photography
Vegas Video for video editing
For today, I'm not gonna lie, I'd just really like to win one of these prize packs :)
How about a Windows Experience related request?
I've got a Motion LE1600 that can't run Aero. How about at least a black theme like Vista was able to do? it would be a nice feature for SP1 or 2.Not a huge fan of being stuck with only the light blue Windows 7 non-Aero default. Windows 7 on a tablet, though, is just great.
Glad everyone is intact after Flugtag.
What's on my mind, is that I need a new Zune because my old 4GB Zune is full.
Glad to see the sweepstakes have returned. Perhaps this is my lucky day?
Just bought a Zune and cant wait till it gets here.
Email: eknizram [at] gmail [dot] com
If I win, I promise to snag some of Pezzner's work with my Zune Pass on the HD =)
Good Monday everyone! Right now, I'm trying to confirm that I'll be a full-time student for the upcoming year in order to continue receiving health coverage from my dad's employer. But Office 2010 is on my mind because I just finished using Word to make a facsimile for the documents I need to send in, and realized how much better Backstage is versus the Word 2007 orb menu :p
Wondering daily now how IE9's interface will be like. When in September is the beta coming? Whenever I think of IE9, I think of "feel good" and "progress" after a long history of catch up.
Forgot my twitter. I am madhurikale18 on Twitter.
Just installed Windows 7 on my sister's laptop this weekend. It's good but not perfect. Several issues in Windows Explorer. When will SP1 arrive and will it fix any Windows Explorer issues?
Well speaking of DJs, I got reminded of WMP. Any chance we might see a new version soon?

Thinking just about the US Open. Mail: xpclient on live.com domain.
Can't wait for Deathly Hallows release. @wincomplete.
My Windows 7 experience has been mostly positive. I like some of the "little" things (rotating wallpaper, etc.). My one difficulty has been understanding the library concept versus files/folders. I like to keep all my user documents stored on a separate drive from the operating system for backup purposes. I've figured things out somewhat by trial and error, but I still don't fully understand the rationale and ramifications of the user libraries that cross folder boundaries. I'm sure there are explanations or tutorials out there, I just haven't taken the time to look.
BTW, I would love to upgrade my daughter's netbook from XP to 7. :) A sweepstakes win would definitely help with our already stretched budget.
For a change, I'm not among the first 2 commenters on the sweepstakes page. My my, you guys are quickening the pace. :D
Nice tunes, wish I had a Zune HD to listen to them on. ;) I'm really eager to see how well windows phone 7 does when it comes out by the end of this year (if I'm not wrong). Expecting a lot from MS and hoping you'll deliver too.
As an instrumentalist (I play the keyboard and piano) I hope the decibel conference goes off pretty well with Windows' sponsorship of the event.
@grajasekar on twitter
Busy Monday! waiting for the next version of windows client release hope to see a completely rebuilt windows
What's on myt mind? I'm trying to use my crystal ball to see where Windows and the PC indistry will be in 3-5 years. With v.Next and some of the other support tools from Windows the landscape for Desktop Support technicians will certainly be different in the very near future.
Well, i'm kinda bombed because I had to reset my computer back to factory settings and can't figure out how the files work on my new Seagate drive where my backup files are stored. I now need to re-install the beta of Windows Live Essentials which I had installed, but didn't really get to play around with.
All I can think about today is how much I'm looking forward to summer being over. Keep cool everyone!
Bring the tracks to Zune Marketplace.
I've had WP7 on my mind for a long time now, and it keeps getting worse. I can't wait for it to come out. I'm hoping Verizon doesn't totally sit out on the launch, because I still have another year on my contract, and I want WP7 ASAP!
Stay out of the heat!
Uh… [Insert snarky random comment here]
I want to get a Windows Phone 7 when they come out, they look great!!!
Looking forward to PDC this year. Anyone know why it was moved from LA to Redmond and cut to 2 days. Hoping to do some coding for a WinPho 7 soon. I need something to replace my battered and bruised Zune 80.
Awesome, another recession give away to start off the week.
Sounds pretty cool! It would sound even better from a Zune HD :)
Where has the summer gone?
Im thinkin that the Zune HD must be a pretty hot product, the two people who I know loved theirs had them stolen. @koshermenu
How Come I haven't Won? Phoenix shall Be remembered...
Oh man, i had no idea that pezzner was a Microsoft dj, pretty sweet.
My comment for the open forum is this... LONG LIVE THE ZUNE HD. All of the electro-pontifs on the planet are either predicting or calling for it's demise, but I have been a Zune fan since Gen 1 (and would still have it, had my brother not borrowed and sat on it. We are a Zuning family and we want to keep it that way.
So LONG LIVE THE ZUNE HD!!!! (oh and can we get a mini-version for the college kids strapped for cash?)
Last thing... Win7 is a monster OS and I highly recommend it :)
I wonder when it will stop raining. :-(
Today I ate some nachos from this Mexican joint by me that has really amazing burritos. Their nachos are =/= to their burritos. :( This is also me entering the recession sweepstakes. Woo-hoo. Good times. Oh, and it's my son's first birthday. Many things on my mind, I guess.
Well, I just took a 4 hour nap after being up for 23 hours because of work (the 5-Hour Energy Shot finally wore off), feeling good, and found this top everything off! Dave's got some good music, though I've never heard of him some of that does sound familiar. Watched the Flugtag video and thought the Microsoft'd Sandstorm was fantastic, as usual Microsoft proves they're the cooler company.
Forgot my handle (guess I'm still partly asleep).
Thank you for this contest. I never would have taken the time to read any of the blogs with out it. So even after the last name is drawn, I still will be back looking at the blogs hoping to find that next bit of information that makes a difference.
