Having to travel so much for work, and loving to travel for leisure, I constantly keep an eye out for devices that are at once easily portable and productive.

Join us for tomorrow’s Tech Tuesday Live Twitter Chat #winchat with @AcerAmerica to learn about their great range of devices that are perfect for work, travel and fun.

Among the many devices, we will talk about is the industry’s first 8.1-inch tablet PC with Windows 8, the Acer Iconia W3 which comes with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 ready to be activated at no extra charge. It is less than a half-inch thick and weighs only 1.2 pounds. Though the tablet is only 8.1 inches, to maximize keyboard functionality the PC comes with the option for a full-sized Bluetooth keyboard and case at 13.3 inches.

Another great device is the Acer Aspire R7  which has an Ezel Hinge that allows the R7 to be easily converted from tablet form to laptop form. The Aspire R7 has four speakers with Dolby Home theater v4 that pumps out four times the acoustic power of the conventional notebook.

Tomorrow, @AcerAmerica will show us tips and tricks about the Iconia W3, and one lucky participant will walk away with their very own Acer Iconia W3!

Acer is moving into the mobile market too

  • Just got this device this weekend for my daughter and she seems to love it. Happy it incldues Office.

The battery life of 8 hours is what sold us so she can use it throughout the day in high school. The greater RAM and processing power of a laptop would be nicer, but not useful if the battery is dead. Plus this is very portable and priced so there's less pain if it's broken or stolen.

I got it at Staples and would like to know my options for adding a keyboard as displayed. They didn't sell the option that was pictured. A cover would also be nice so it can be tossed in the bookbag. Surprised to see that wasn't included.
