Zune HD apps coming to Windows Phone?

Microsoft is weighing whether to make some Zune HD apps available for Windows Phone 7. The possibility of porting the apps was discussed earlier this month on the Zune Insider podcast, but gained wider notice after it appeared this week on the Windows Phone Secrets blog. “I can’t tell you when or what the exact dates are, but that’s something we’re definitely looking at doing,” Microsoft’s Dave McLauchlan said on the podcast.

Plants vs. Zombies arrives
In case you missed it, Pop Cap's Plants vs. Zombies showed up in Marketplace this week. In this hit tower defense game—the next-to-last entry in the Must Have Games series for Windows Phone—you must defend your house against 26 types of zombies using arsenal of plants.

Good news for Windows Phone-toting parents. Digital A-Z Maps of London

Most travellers and new transplants to London wouldn’t be caught dead without their trusty “A to Zed,” the only reliable way to navigate the city’s famously confusing streets. Now the classic A-Z London Map is available for Windows Phone.  Another plus: The map comes fully installed and doesn’t require a network connection to use.

Another week and no news on the Focus updates.  This is beyond ridiculous.  MS it is obvious you do not care about the customers who spent their money on this phone and you continue to string us along with we are working on it bs.  You claim to care but actions speak louder than words.  What do you plan on doing to correct the horrible experience many users, especially early adopters, have endured?  Something would go a long way in reparing this damaged relationship and I hope you do the right thing and once this update is in our hands that you do something to make this right.

  • Does anyone know where I can go to find a solution to my "Need to install latest version of Adobe Viewer" problem? I can hardly watch video on the internet now on my five month old phone.

Wow...you can give a "precise" arrival date for Angry Birds but not even a HINT of a date for when the rev1.4 Focus will be updateable!  Geez

Halo Wallpapers are cool bunch. Halo 4 Stats App in future, kindly pass this message 343i, They should release one when Halo 4 comes out.

I like how these ads or comments from celebrities showing how WP7 is different from other phones.

  • I do like how celebs are using WP7 more and more.  "Keep it continue" - Sammy Sosa

As for porting the Zune HD game, please do!!!  I want PGR, or even Forza on WP.  The current racing games pale in comparison to PGR:FE for the Zune HD.

I also hope there will be an appearance by Master Chief in the form of an Xbox Live game for WP soon!  That would be awesome!

Sigh... these Me videos don't seem to have much to do with WP7. I mean, you don't even see a phone in use until1:37 in. I'm not sure what Microsoft is trying to do with these videos, but I can tell you what they are not doing: showing potential customers what WP7 can do for them in the real world. All I ended up with is a desire for pasta cupcakes =P

That Jamie Oliver video did more in 27 seconds than either of the Me videos I've seen so far =|
