@BuckeyeTico rofl so in your dictionary if anyone disagree with you he immediately becomes a fanboy

when you have words that makes any  sense i'll be happy to read it

  • @ riseagn – Right or wrong, I guess you are entitled to your opinion… BTW, in my book, everything you just said is called FANBOY.  Take it easy.

@BuckeyeTico yes it does help and yes they do listen to what people want

the rest of your talk i call it BS

  • @ riseagn – Of course some people are interested in these silly contests! Otherwise, they wouldn’t continue doing it.  But, do you think these contests have really helped the exposure and growth of WP7? I bet you that 90% of the contestants are already WP7 users or enthusiasts.

On the other hand, do you really believe MS is listening to us, the users? About 3 weeks ago, one of their managers stopped by to drop the new bomb related to their new upgrade/update policy and then ran away… After hundreds of questions and complains, do you think they have addressed even one of them? This is serious stuff and they choose to ignore it.  I don’t know if you are new to WP7 or not but I got news for you: MS listens to what they want to listen to.

@BuckeyeTico  you don't give a  crap but others do care and want

secondly Microsoft trying to listen to people and give them the ability to be part of marketing ,apps, new features of os and development its easy to ignore people and do same as corporates i respect what Microsoft doing it shows that they really care about people and really care about their opinion

  • I have one major issue with the WP7 and that is contact management on Windows Live. Don't get me wrong I love the auto sync but the website interface is terrible. For instance if I go and edit or even view a contacts information and want to back to the main contacts page I have to run through minimum two steps to do that. There isn't a simple button redirecting you back to the contacts homepage. Second major issue is that the live address book doesn't have unlimited fields for phone numbers. A very useful feature that I have in GMAIL. I know they provide with 3 phone number possibilities, but I have family that travels a lot and unlike Google contacts where I can have multiple phone fields. Another problem I have is the view, it would be awesome to have different viewing options like in Outlook, so we could see basic information for each contact on the home screen.

What I like about my contacts though is that the universal integration with all the accounts which is awesome and much appreciated. I hope the Windows Live team can update the calendar and contacts website so the UI is much simpler.

  • In regards to the contests or giveaways: People from other parts of the world, chill out! I live in the USA and don’t give a crap about these non-sense contests.  It’s easy to set up a guy from MS -who evidently knows WP7 very good, and bring average competitors to try to beat him in different tasks.

I love my WP7 but I am not looking for a free ride, all I am looking for is accountability from MS about their new shady update/upgrade policy, continuous support for this platform, full ownership of the platform and its processes, consistency and most importantly, commitment.

Don’t you people realize that every time they do something against their original business plan, they start doing these silly contests so we can forget about the real issue? They, MS, don’t have a clue of what they are doing, to the extend that they are now asking us to come up with marketing ideas to promote this phone better.  Are we finally domesticated? Are we? If so, then we are screwed! I hope I am wrong but I am telling you all, WP7 will end up as another Android phone.  Time will tell.

Wow. America only. Again. Beyond belief. Just, no words for this. I simply cannot believe it. The board needs to be alerted of this prejudicial behaviour.

no windows phone gift to people who live in saudi arabia =(

anyway its still good offer to people who live in US so congratulations to the winners as long as they join windows phone club :)

  • I love Windows Phone because Ben Rudolph Smoked the competition!,,,, You know what would blow the competition away??? Well, Fully Animated Live Tiles! Can you imagine single, or double tiles playing silent 16:9, 30 second, looping video clips of weather radar, music videos, app clips from developers, YouTube favorites, IMDB clips, and so on? Can you imagine how cool that would look sitting on the shelf at retail locations? If retail associates wont sell the phone have the phones sell themselves.. HAHAHAHA! This is going to be great!

  • This is nice - but why limit this to US residents?
