The folks behind Angry Birds delivered a great new game for Windows Phone 8 this morning. In Amazing Alex ($0.99) you use stuff around whiz kid Alex’s house—and the laws of physics—to create fantastical chain reactions. Your Rube Goldberg set-ups help finish household chores, battle robots in the backyard, and more.
The game has more than 100 levels, 35 interactive objects, and four locations to keep things interesting. But one of my favorite features of Amazing Alex is this: the game lets you design and share your own levels—and download the best fan-created levels engineered by other players. @jjMustang: I was seeing some Store errors too. Sometimes it can take a few hours for a newly published app to reach all Store servers. This should clear up soon.
If you have a problem grabbing the items you can place, swipe up on the item instead of across.
and now it works. Odd. Looks like fun
And I'm stuck at the 2nd level; the game won't let me grab the table. Nokia Lumia 920.
Yet, oddly enough, it's the feature Game in the store, so I was able to get to it that way.
The only Amazing Alex I return in the store is a 3D Augmented Reality viewer, and the link takes me to a "Not Found" error.
