iHeartRadio, one of the most popular streaming Internet radio apps, made its debut on Windows Phone 8 this morning. Download it here

If like me you’ve been waiting for this one, you won’t be disappointed. The app lets you tune into more than 1500 live radio stations across the United States, plus create commercial-free custom stations from a pool for more than 15 million songs and 400,000 artists. And the Windows Phone 8 edition of the app also sports several cool new features:

  • Recommend stations. Find the soundtrack for studying, driving—even cleaning house.
  • Sleep Timer. Doze off to your favorite station.
  • Lock screen album art
  • Bookmarking: Pin favorite stations to your Start screen.
  • Universal search. Now you can search across the app.

Finally, to celebrate its Windows Phone 8 debut, the iHeartRadio folks are giving away a bunch of Nokia Lumia 920s. Check out iHeartRadio on Facebook for a chance to win.

Yea! Finally, 'bought time. Had it on WP7.x and actually was still able to download it on WP8 when I got my 920. Then when my 8X showed up, it was gone for WP8. With there being no FM on 8, it was missed. Yea there is TuneIn radio, but they didn't support the station I wanted. So, Yea! Guess I can update the copy on my 920 now ;)
