If you’ve installed the SkyDrive app on your Windows Phone, head on over to the Windows Phone Store and get the update for OneDrive. SkyDrive is now OneDrive! The update also brings along a new thumbnail view, improved view of shared files, the ability to share multiple items at once, the ability to pin folders to your Start screen, open your OneDrive files in other apps, and bug fixes and performance improvements.

And if you don’t have the OneDrive app installed, get it installed and get started with free cloud storage at OneDrive.com.

O.k. my sync-problem is over, guess I had to be a Little patient... Thanks

  • OneDrive installed on Windows Phone 8 by HTC as soon as available. Photos+Camera on phone set to back up photos & video, but still shows SkyDrive as backup agent (it is ON), and will not backup photos in camera roll or anywhere else on the phone. Skydrive folders appear, their contents are available, One note synchs with OneDrive without any changes in OneNote. How to backup photos?

Yes window phone 8, and yes to the sync-settings. Any idea?

  • Are you on Windows Phone 8? Did you go into Settings and then Backup and make sure under "photos" is says "auto upload on"? On Windows Phone, the auto upload or sync of photos is done via the Windows Phone OS and not the OneDrive app itself.

It should work but doesn't. At least not with my devices...

  • - on Windows Phone, this capability should still be there.

  • Why does Onedrive not auto sync photos like Skydrive did? I really liked that feature and I tried to manually sync but onedrive app only allows ONE photo to sync at a time. Really?
