We’ve just release a package of application bar icons for developers building apps/games for Windows Phone 7 Series. This package contains a set of 64 app bar icons that you can use when developing applications for Windows Phone. In addition to the 64 icons in PNG format (32 dark and 32 light), this package also contains vector versions that can be easily imported into Microsoft Expression Blend 4 Beta when using the Microsoft Expression Blend Add-in Preview for Windows Phone. For more information on how to use these icons within your application, see How to: Add an Application Bar to Your Application on MSDN.

If you need more Metro Style Icons, like Social ones (including Facebook, Digg, Flickr, etc) you can find those at:

    metrodynamis.com/.../icons-metro-style-social-icon-collection

They are free to use! Enjoy!

  • If you are looking for creative commons licensed Windows Phone icons I have released over 300 specifically made for Windows Phone with source files at: templarian.com/project_windows_phone_icons

The source files are in Expression Design (.design). If you need ones that are not included send me a message to @templarian on twitter and I'll create and add it to the pack.

This pack includes all the icons above also.

Can't find the download under this link. Removed? Where to find it?

  • Over here at glyFXin the land of down under we've just released a commercial set of over 300 Windows Phone 7 icons. Please feel free to drop by and check them out, and we hope you find them useful.

  • Check out these Windows Phone 7 Application Icons - there are 350 icons in the set. http://goo.gl/rMk08

  • Broken link? When I click it, browser go to www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx and it looks like search...

  • Ah-ha! The icon pack is now part of Expression Blend for Windows Phone. With that installed, find the icons in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows phone\v7.0\Icons. [Source: j2i.net/.../What-Happened-to-the-WP7-Icon-Pack.aspx]

  • The URL for the icon pack is broken. Is there a new one?

  • The above link doesn't work! To make it worse, this page has been linked to on SilverLight TV Show #45 posted today (2010-09-16). Could someone please fix the link, or explain why it's no longer available?

  • Great! Will you be bringing out more? Is their a vector version of the circle?

  • I would like to know that is it free, or it requires any license! By the way i like the icons :D

What is the "basecircle" for? Can anyone of you answer?

  • Does the inclusion of vector versions mean that this is an option for Application Bar icons, or are they intended for use elsewhere?
