Developers, start your engines. App Hub is now open for submissions in the new markets I mentioned in my last post. If you haven’t done so already, I recommend taking a moment to submit your apps. It’s a chance to put them in front of new customers and get a jump on the competition in these new stores.
Submitting your apps to multiple Marketplaces is fairly straightforward. Just visit App Hub and select the individual markets—or choose “worldwide” (even if you’ve done this before) to make them available everywhere. Here are the step-by-step instructions.
Two final things to keep in mind. Some new markets are subject to additional certification requirements due to local laws or norms—section 3.10 of our content policy has more details. And it’s now taking at least 7 calendar days to certify and publish apps, due to the volume of new app submissions and updates. If you’re trying to hit a specific go live date, please keep that in mind.
I’ll be back with more information on when the new customer stores will open once the schedule is final. In the meantime, I’d love to hear your thoughts and questions.
Well, I guess we better release our App's always with WORLDWIDE :). Maybe now we should turn our App's in to part xml or JSON files and have the text auto-converted based on detected or selected country/language to ensure everyone can use our App's (unless this is already done?).
7 calendar days? It means that if there's a blocker bug in one of the updates, users will have to wait about 10 days to get the fix. Is there any plan on making some kind of "fast track" certification process for these occasions, even if it means paying a fee?
Just to give some feedback here, I just submitted my app to include China and Brazil. Now I can't go back and add the new countries for another 7 days! It would be great if this could be fixed.
Once I click on "Select All" the Submit button gets hidden, I have to manually close the expanders (continents) to make it visible again. A simple problem with fixed positions?
Yalla applications sent through the apps, how to transfer your account created on the App hub?
This is for customer Market Place. How about DEVELOPER Market Place?
Todd it look like the situation of the app Hub certification and publication is getting worse. One of your coleague in China talk about 3 days, you at least 7 days and the official support i got say max 7 days. Who can we believe?
How can a small developer rely on such an improbable calendar to do business. How can I talk about a launch date when I have no idea when my app will be published.
Not only the 7 days now apply but a new thing I noticed recently, I need to wait another 48 hours to see the app really on the marketplace.
Something has to be done otherwise a lot of developers will just stop to believe in the platform success.
Add to this the appaling situation of the stats, total mess in my opinon. how can I know if my app is doing well when the stats are on average 7 days late?
Tell me like to se some official line here
Developer support for more countries please!
BTW do you plan to allow users to change their marketplace country?
Dominican Republic, please! I want to submit apps to the Marketplace, as well as download them.
Step-by-step instructions don't work. It prevents to sub,it for South Korea and Brazil no matter what I do and there is no explanation about the abbreviations of letters. When I "save and quit" the submission shows up as if "details missing". Like many others I'm amuzed at amount of bugs on AppHub.
One of the fastest emerging development and user market of ASIA is PAKISTAN and its not there, what new markets you are talking about. I am a user of windows phone [HTC HD7] for the last 10 months and waiting for app hub to open in pakistan but still my country and its credit cards are not present in the country list. I still dont understand which market you are talking about.
If I had know that applications take so mutch time to arrive to Brazilian Market (sometimes never) I certanly would had register to US Market. I don't have, Need for Speed, Assasins Creed, PES2012 and so on. Brazilian Market sucks.
Hope App Hub will be opened in sri lanka pretty soon
Yea, I just submitted my first app and look like I will not have a chance to participate in some marketing opportunities that presented themselves.
This certification and publishing time frame will have to improve or I will just walk away.
Sure, one less developer submitting apps, but I am a MCT that is considering supporting the Developing Windows Phone 7 certification track by teaching the two available courses for the certification.
I sincerely hope this time to market improves I really like the platform and the possibilities.
@anatolyl: Sorry to hear this. Please send an email to: apphub AT microsoft DOT com
In it, please include your registered name or email and a description of the issue, including whether this is an existing or new app and any error messages you're seeing. The app ID is also helpful. We'll investigate.
