Spotify update brings Discover and Browse to Windows Phone

Back in February, Spotify announced they are going to be releasing some big updates to their Windows Phone app this spring. And today, the first of those updates has been released. This update brings the Discover and Browse features to Windows Phone making it easier than ever to discover new artists and finding the perfect playlist.

Here is what Spotify says about the Discover and Browse features:

Introducing Discover: Don’t know what to listen to next? That’s okay. We do. Spotify’s Discover page seeks out personalized recommendations by seamlessly combining Spotify’s best-in-class technology and social tools with curated content from music experts including Pitchfork, Songkick, Tunigo, and much, much more.

Introducing Browse: Going for a jog or to the gym? We’ve got the playlist to help you go the extra mile. Hosting a dinner or getting ready for a big night out? We’ve got you covered. We even have playlists for different moods, so regardless of whether you need an upbeat boost or something more relaxing to wind down to – we’ve got just the thing. You can also browse through a collection of our top lists and check out new releases.

With the Spotify app, you can enjoy all the music you love. You can create your own playlists, or browse and indulge in the playlists of your friends. And you can download and play your playlists offline while on-the-go. Also with today’s update to the Spotify app, you can now stream Spotify Radio with your subscription (30-day free trial available) and skip between stations and tracks, or choose a random station and just go with it (also a fun way to discovery new music!). If you don’t have Spotify installed on your Windows Phone – download it today from the Windows Phone Store.
