Dell announces new devices including XPS 13 with 4k borderless infinity display



Dell has announced a few new devices today including a new XPS 13 with a 4k borderless infinity display and new Alienware gaming PCs.

XPS 13:

Dell is making some pretty substantial updates to the XPS 13. The new XPS 13 comes with an UltraSharp Quad HD+ (4k) infinity display that has a tiny 5.2mm bezel. The new display on the XPS 13 boasts an incredible 5.7 million pixels. So as you can imagine – photos and videos look amazing on this PC. The new XPS 13 comes powered by 5th generation Intel Core processors and SSDs for enhanced performance. It also has more than 15 hours of battery life! The new XPS 13 will be available today on Dell.com starting at $799.99 (U.S.).

Dell is also updating the XPS 15 to also include an UltraSharp 4K Ultra HD touch display which boasts over 8 million pixels. The new XPS 15 will be available soon on Dell.com starting at $2,349 (U.S.).

Alienware 15 and 17:

The new Alienware 15 and 17 laptops are designed for performance and gaming scalability and suited for every gamer’s needs. They are 20% thinner than their predecessors and use full-powered performance components without throttling. They also come powered by Intel Core i7 quad-core processors and NVIDIA GTX 980m graphics. They are also compatible with the Alienware Graphics Amplifier. You can connect the Intel Core i7 versions of the Alienware 15 and 17 to the Alienware Graphics Amplifier and have it automatically overclocked for you. The Alienware 15 and 17 are available starting today from Dell.com. The Alienware 15 starts at $1,199 (U.S.) and the Alienware 17 starts at $1,499 (U.S.).

Inspiron Family Updates:

Dell has also announced several updates to PCs in their Inspiron family. The new Inspiron 15 7000 Series laptops will 5th generation Intel Core processors and a 4K Ultra HD display option. The Inspiron 15 7000 Series is available today from Dell.com starting at $1,099.99 (U.S.).

The Inspiron 15 5000 Series and Inspiron 23 All-in-One desktop will now include the Intel RealSense 3D Camera Front F200. With the Intel RealSense 3D camera, people can interact with apps and games without the use of the mouse and keyboard and the camera can do 3D scanning for 3D printing. The Inspiron 15 5000 Series will also come with 5th generation Intel Core processors. The Inspiron 15 5000 Series with Intel ReaSense 3D camera is available today from Dell.com starting at $749.99 (U.S.). The Inspiron 23 All-in-One with Intel RealSense 3D camera will be available starting today at Dell.com starting at $1,599 (U.S.).

Dell is also announcing an exclusive Special Edition Inspiron 13 7000 Series 2-in-1 coming in March as part of Dell’s “Only @ Best Buy” collection. It’ll have a new design that has curved edges, a metal palm rest, and a diamond-cut touchpad. The Inspiron 13 7000 Series 2-in-1 has a 360-degree hinge that allows the PC to be flipped between laptop, tent, easel and tablet modes.
