Windows 10 Tip: Search your PC and the web with Cortana

Written By published September 6, 2016

Last week, we gave you a tour around what’s new in the Windows Store with the Windows 10 Anniversary Update. Today, we’re going to show you how you can quickly and easily search your PC and the web all in one place. Your customizable taskbar is a great place to start any search!

To search from your taskbar, simply click the Cortana* icon and type your query:

Search your PC and web from the taskbar

For example, if you search “Xbox” you’ll see it brings up apps, apps related to Xbox, Xbox-related settings, and additional Xbox entries in the Windows Store. It also allows you to select a web search for Xbox, or search for the term “Xbox” within the folders and documents on your PC.

Have a great week!

*Cortana available in select markets.
