MSDN Magazine: Special Windows 10 Issue

MSDN magazine has released a special Windows 10 issue. The issue spans a large number of topics from Visual Studio tooling to game development to user experience to notifications.

  1. We are doing Windows Phone 8.1 development using Windows Embedded Handheld 8.1. This OS is pretty well locked down so is difficult for enterprise solutions. Will Windows 10 remain this locked down type of OS environment on mobile devices or will it be more like the old Windows Mobile 6.5

I like where you’re going with Windows 10, and I completely understand why you’re pushing everyone to upgrade, however most normal people don’t change their phones just because there is a new version of the OS out there. My Nokia 920 is the best phone I’ve used, much prefer it to my company iPhone, but I gather there wont be an upgrade to Win 10 for it. A shame – in the past you’ve done a pretty good job of “no breaking changes”.
