GPS ‘Position Art’ – birth of a medium?



ROME, Italy – Championed by Nokia character Stavros, ‘Position Art’ sees you create line drawings by tracing your route via GPS.

The World is my Canvas event, saw Stavros recently complete his ‘opus’ by exploring the streets of Rome and precisely plotting his route using an N82.

Sure it’s funny, but could this seriously be the beginnings of a new art form? We’ll be keeping an eye out for any Position Art popping up on the horizon as a result. But in the meantime, here’s Stavros in action explaining how to get started…
