Have fun saving the planet

TOOWONG, Australia – No matter how hard we try, remembering to unplug
our phone when it’s charged, or plug it in before it needs charging,
always seems to pass us by. Until it’s too late.

That may no longer be the case. Australian developer, Moket, has come
up with some cool little screensavers to help us stay on top of things,
and keep the planet the way we like it.

Dubbed MoCarbon, the screensaver animations feature a range of different characters who’ll appear on your screen to give you a reminder when it’s needed. Using the device’s different power usage states, the character will tell you what needs to happen. The characters are friendly enough, until you leave your device plugged in, at which point he’ll get more than a little frustrated.

Moket is a member of Forum Nokia and was recently highlighted as a Forum Nokia Success Story. The company has been successfully developing games and animations in Flash Lite for the last three years. It’s latest project is a brand new cross-platform cartoon, based on one of its game characters, Dojo Monkey. The cartoon is currently being piloted on Australian TV and is set to make an appearance on mobiles soon.
