Designers, engineers and programmers in Finland, England and the USA collaborated on the product’s creation and Fortune tells the story rather neatly.
It all started in Oulu where the brains behind the box did some brainstorming after looking at some market research. The concept of the Internet tablet was born and so it went to the USA to make it happen. Plugging into the Open Source experts there, the team added new levels of functionality to the device.
Making the device look good came down to the design team in London who laboured away on their CAD machines, and playing with materials until they got the industrial design nailed.
Finally it went back to the team in Northern Finland’s Oulu to make it all work together and turn it into device for the masses. The rest, as they say is history.
