Bike Week, guided by Nokia

UK – Bike Week, guided by Nokia, kicks off tomorrow with a range of events happening all over the country. For the first time, Nokia is proud sponsor of the week and the Nokia Pavilion will be appearing at a range of events throughout the week. If you’re feeling fit, and fancy feeling fitter, then get yourselves along to one of these. You never know, you might even enjoy yourself!

The Nokia Pavillion will be touring the country this week, popping up at a series of Bike Week related events. Olympic Gold Medalist James Cracknell will be on hand for a bit of competition and a brand new top of the range bike will be up for grabs along with a host of Nokia GPS-enabled devices, kit bags, accessories and more. Oh, and if all the exercise is too much for you, there’s a chill out zone where you can recharge your batteries (and have a rest!).

Blackheath Bike and Kite Festival
Display arenas, entertainment, bike activities and good old Dr Bike form the backbone of this event. Fun for all the family is promised, so if you’re in town, get down to Blackheath.

Islington Sports and Cycling Festival
Dr Bike will be on hand once again offering health checks for bikes and along with the cycling cinema (Belleville Rendez-Vous anyone?), stunt shows and cycling performances there’ll surely be enough to keep you entertained.

CTC York Cycle Show
Head to York Racecourse and the York Cycle Show for a peak at the MountainBike Stunt Show, the CTC Ron Kitching Challenge Ride, exhibitions, shops and plenty more. Entry is free and there’ll be events for the kids too.

You can get a full list of events on the Bike Week website and find the event nearest you using the handy Sports Tracker app.
