Handing you the key to Ovi

GLOBAL – We’ve keenly followed Ovi’s gestation in recent months, with new features successively sprouting limb-like into existence. Ovi quietly stepped into the digital world at the tail-end of August, officially earning its public beta wings and opening the door even wider.

This latest version of Ovi has matured, enabling you to sync your contacts, calendar, notes and to-dos with Ovi’s secure online realm. Something fellow writer James (a confessed sync-a-holic), was quick to explore.

Later today at 15.00 CET, a few members of the Ovi team will demo the new features at http://www.events.nokia.com, including syncing your personal info, using Nokia Ovi Suite for PC and Files on Ovi.

This live online event isn’t purely a passive affair either. At 15:10 there’s a live question and answer session with the people behind Ovi – although it’s a good idea that in the meantime you sign up for a free Tangler account here, as this is the software used to power the live discussion. Anyone is free to get stuck in and ask questions, so make sure you bookmark http://www.events.nokia.com and set your alarm.

Plus, make sure you keep an eye on Conversations, as we’ll be back later with more videos on Ovi.
