Nokia World 2008 is around the corner!

BARCELONA, Spain – I just want to give a shout out that registration for Nokia World 2008 is still open.

Nokia World brings together operators, developers, partners, and journalists in a info- and demo-packed business-focused conference about Nokia. What’s different this year is that they are added some extra slots for folks who do not fall into the above categories.

Read on to find out what’s going to happen there.

Overview

Nokia World will take place at Centre Convencions Internacional Barcelona on 2-3 December 2008.

One of the biggest parts is the two full days of seminars, ranging from Games to Music to Social Networking to what the future holds. And it’s not just Nokia execs pontificating, there will be talks by:

  • Dan Hill, CEO, Sensory Logic. Inc., Author of Emotionomics
  • Ray Hammond, Europe’s Leading Futurologist
  • Leonard Waverman, Professor of Economics at London Business School
  • Yochai Benkler, Author & Professor of Law, Harvard
  • Barry Cottle, Senior Vice President & General Manager, EA
  • Doug Garland, Vice President of Product Management, Google

Another big part is a rich set of demos to show you what we’ve been up to. These demos will be organized around such themes as community, collaboration, fun, and the living network.

Nokia Conversations will be there

All us here, for sure, are looking forward to seeing these demos and to hear these talks (and I look forward to the party, as well). We’ll be there reporting from the floor and capturing some videos showing you what we’ve seen and heard.

So come back here to get the latest news from the event between 02 and 03 December.

In the meantime, do read up about the event on the Nokia World site and consider registering and going! If you end up going, let us know and we can try and meet up.
