Peppery prognostications pertaining to the parcel

GLOBAL – Goodness. This Pass the Parcel game does not seem to end. We are in Day 12 and still have not reached the heart of the parcel. But that hasn’t dampened anyone’s spirits, as folks are still guessing away. Ranging from the Nokia N97 to the Nokia N86 (to a ton of great speculations), everyone seems to be getting into this guessing game.

As I did last week, I’d like to get you thinking of other possibilities. This last week has revealed some things that might make you think one way, though I would like to speculate about other things that fit the features that have been revealed so far. Want to join me in this speculation? Please do, read on.

Collapsing the range of possibilities
Ok. Of all the features revealed this past week, S60 surely narrows the range of things we’re talking about. Or, at least, that’s what everyone thinks. Remember, this could be something that works with S60, not necessarily have S60 in it. And, looking at other mobile OSes, there’s no reason to think this is actually a mobile phone.

But, who am I fooling? The parcel revealed also a multi-media feature set that you would expect from S60 – camera, video and music players, and stereo speakers. Clearly this is something related to playing and enjoying music and video. Right?

And, what is for sure is that the other features revealed in the last two rounds are narrowing down the possibilities even further. A new home screen and contacts bar? These suggest a Net-connected, Widget-wielding, media-slinging social communication device.

Yeah, you know what I mean.

<whine>”What about meeeee?”</whine>
We never expected so much attention. And we really weren’t sure if this game was right for us to do (was it?). But we’ve been having fun and kinda want to thank you all (again) for all the comments and trackbacks so far. Sure, the person who unwraps the last layer wins the whole parcel, but I think I’ll have to look into my bag of goodies and see what I can find for you folks who were not on the list. Maybe I could pick a name from all the commenters for a little something (not sure what, yet). Good idea?
