Nokia Booklet 3G dated for US launch

Nokia-Booklet-3G-openNEW YORK, US – Following Germany we’ve just received official word that the Nokia Booklet 3G will be hitting US soil from mid-November, exclusively available to pre-order through Best Buy and available on AT&T from October 22. Read on to find out more about the Booklet 3G’s Stateside debut.

If you live in the US you’ll be able to order Nokia’s first mini laptop PC though Best Buy’s website or in-store from the 22nd of this month, and the launch deal sees the Booklet 3G being made available for $299.99 with an AT&T Data Connect plan two-year activation. The folk at Best Buy are offering a free in-store service too, helping anyone buying a Booklet to activate the device, get a tour of the new Windows 7 operating system, as well as one-to-one walkthroughs of Nokia solutions such as Ovi Suite and Maps.

Nokia CEO, Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, had this to say about news on the launch of the Booklet 3G in the States:

“Nokia understands mobility like no other company and recognizes that the most ‘powerful’ device is the one that doesn’t have you running for the power plug or network point. By combining the Booklet’s sleek design, impressive features and competitive price together with the new Windows 7 operating system from Microsoft, AT&T’s nationwide 3G coverage and Best Buy’s unmatched national retail footprint, we believe we have a winning combination for U.S. consumers.”

If you haven’t seen it, here’s probably the coolest video of the Nokia Booklet 3G to date…
