Nelson’s Diner
Riotous colours assault the eye in this typical American diner on the wrong side of the Atlantic. The contrasting tiles and bold reds, yellows and metallic surfaces are all ably handled by the N86.
Wooden Bench
This shot is all about lines. The wooden slats on the bench draw the eye on to roof lines that dissolve into the distance. The simple act of shooting from a different height has made a shot out of nothing.
Tall Tree and the Eye
Good use of angles and reflections here with the Royal Academy of Arts reflected in Ansih Kapoor’s Tall Tree and the Eye installation. A great photo making full use of ideal conditions.
Golden Gate Bridge
Outdoor landscapes shot from a height really show up a camera’s shortcomings, but this one manages to convey a real sense of scale and space from this breathtaking viewpoint.
Il Lago di Ledro
It helps to have a subject matter as easy on the eye as this, but this is nonetheless a well composed shot that does this spectacular setting justice. A great balance of colour, with superb detail throughout.
Chambers St Station
Ordinary urban spaces are often transformed just by looking up. Arches, columns and ceilings work together here to excellent effect, and the N86 has picked up contrast and detail perfectly.
Brooklyn Bridge, NYC
Another example of Bleuchoi’s eye for something different. The N86 has captured the network of suspension cables in the foreground without detracting from the imposing effect of the New York cityscape behind it.
Fikkie Stoken
A great photo that’s all about simplicity. The eye is drawn right into the heart of the fire, and the effect of the orange flame and brown wood on what amounts to a near-greyscale backdrop is striking.
Forest River
The N86 has perfectly captured the soft colours and natural beauty of this forest scene. Mourujärvi has got the exposure time just right for the perfect blend of blur and detail in the water.
Abstract Shoes
To make shots like this work you need a camera that can accurately capture scale and perspective. The results speak for themselves, and 302 has produced a well-composed shot with a good sense of fun.
