GLOBAL – This week sees a new competition running at CES to find the best Mobile Apps. The folks behind MobileAppsShowdown have selected 20 semi finalists which are currently facing the public vote. Amongst them are three prized Nokia apps. So what are you waiting for, time to get Voting!Gravity, the S60 Twitter client has long been a popular app amongst the Nokeratti so it’s no surprise to see it amongst the semi finalists. Alongside it is Shazam, the music-tagging, name-that-tune application, which is now integrated with Nokia Music Store. Shazam will also be taking part in the live aspect of the competition, selected as one of the 10 finalists to take part in a live demo later in the week.
Also in the running is Slingplayer, which you can use to watch your TV from home directly on your mobile.
