Nokia C3 – Commercial Availability

nokiac3_thumbUK and INDONESIA – The launch of the Nokia C3 back in April certainly caused some excitement – we were still receiving positive comments on the post yesterday. It’s a sleek mix of social messaging and multimedia fun. Of course, though, the most common comment was ‘when can we get hold of it?’ And we didn’t know the answer – until today. The Nokia C3 is on sale right now in the UK and Indonesia.

In case you need a reminder, the Nokia C3 is the perfect phone for the dedicated social networker. Twitter and Facebook updates can be set to appear right on your home screen.  Spot a friend’s face and just get in touch with a single click. Email, chat, your calendar and music player also come with dedicated widgets for the home screen.

As you can see from the pictures, it’s a smart-looking, slender QWERTY device – the first such phone in the ultra-affordable Cseries. Staying social, the phone boasts built-in support for Ovi Mail plus Hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo! Mail – as well as other POP and IMAP based services. When it comes to chat, you can use Windows Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk and Ovi Chat, with threaded conversation display. Internet connectivity is provided through 2G and WiFi.

On the multimedia front, there’s a two-megapixel camera, which captures both still photographs and video. The 2.4-inch screen offers QVGA (320 x 240 pixels) resolution. Storage is provided by 55MB of onboard RAM, plus up to 8GB using a micro-SD card.
