With over a third of the votes, Driving Navigation came up tops. 36 per cent use Ovi Maps for driving, which is what you would expect as that’s how Sat Nav has been used for the past 15 years (or so). But what’s great to see is coming in second is Walk Navigation. It’s used by 25 per cent of you, showing there’s a real need to use this off-road and on foot.
Almost 11 per cent use Ovi Maps to check the local weather; 7 per cent search by Categories and 5 per cent use the new Check In feature to tell their friends on their social networks where they are. Check In is still a fairly new feature to Ovi Maps, so it will be interesting to see if this social location feature increases over time or not.
At the bottom of the results are Lonely Planet, Events, Other and Michelin. All coming in quite close to each other, but showing these features are still useful.
What do you make of these results, and what would you like to see added in the future?
