SYDNEY and MELBOURNE, Australia – Nokia Australia was keen to launch the Nokia N8 with a bang – or rather, a flash. So they invited celebrity photographer David LaChapelle – who normally shoots the likes of Angelina Jolie and Lady Gaga – to come along and test out the N8’s camera capabilities, with the participation of local bloggers and social media users. Together, they created the ‘imagiN8’ galleries, which were LaChapelle’s first public photo shoots. The people who ended up in the pictures had asked to be ‘nomiN8d’ by their friends and followers.

The results are rather good. You can see some of them after the break. It’s picture-heavy, as you’d imagine.
