Nokia #N8DirectandProject is a hit

It was the Nokia #N8DirectandProject event in Vancouver a couple of nights ago, and Glenn Letham of LBS Zone was there (I can confirm the sighting) to soak it all in. 26 one minute movies were premiered in one night, all shot on the Nokia N8.

Glenn writes about the event and his own experiences with the N8 – of the winning entry he says it did a ‘fantastic job telling a memorable story’, and praises the diverse nature of the movies on show. I can attest to the fact that every single entrant did a great job with their 60-second time slot. Glenn also has his say on the N8 itself, as he had one in his hands and has been getting to grips with it for a couple of days. The camera is the main focus of his thoughts, but an overall impression is that it’s ‘stylish, solid, looks and feels great in the hand’. There’s plenty more, so head over and have a read.

Be sure to check out the event page on Nokia Canada’s Facebook page, and the top ten movies will all be on the Nokia Canada YouTube channel in the coming days as part of the second stage of the competition. Your views and ratings will decide the prizes that are still up for grabs!

And the winner? Here it is:
