Nokia N8 Producers: Countdown to the Zero-Gravity production

We all know the N8 Producers winnings entries were amazing, but that was just for starters, the main event is yet to come – one final production showing all our N8 Producers winners experiencing a zero-gravity flight!

In T-minus 2 days and counting, the 9 winners of N8 Producers will be floating like Astronauts and experiencing weightlessness on a Zero-G flight in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Our winners will be going on a specially modified Boeing 727, named G-FORCE ONE, where parabolic arcs are performed to create a weightless environment allowing you to pose like Superman, flipping and spinning as though you were in space!

In case you weren’t up to scratch on your space terminology, parabolas are aerobatic manoeuvres performed to achieve weightlessness. Before starting a parabola, G-FORCE ONE will fly level to the horizon at an altitude of 24,000 feet. The pilots will then gradually pull up increasing the angle of the plane to 45 degrees reaching an altitude of 34,000 feet, meaning our winners will be subjected to a 1.8 G pull!

The plane is then ‘pushed over’ to create the Zero gravity parabolas and creating weightlessness for the next 20-30 seconds. This is repeated 12-15 times with each parabola taking 10 miles of airspace to perform.

Check out the photo below – that’s what our weightless winners will be experiencing in the coming hours!

This amazing final N8 Production will be coming soon to the Nseries blog, so watch this space!
