Nokia Push @ SxSW

Fresh off the back of their public unveiling of the Push Snowboarding sensor technology at the 2011 Burton Snowboard US Open, the Nokia Push team are headed to Austin, Texas to join the rest of the Nokia activities at SxSW. It’ll be the first time Nokia Push has been to SxSW and promises to be a great opportunity for people to find out more about what happens behind the scenes of Nokia Push, the thinking and motivation that drives each of the projects and also how they harness the power of Nokia devices.

As part of Nokia’s Opportunity Hour, Nokia Push will be hosting an intimate Q&A session and demonstration of the Push Snowboarding project on Monday 14th March (today!) at The Belmont between 5pm and 7pm.

On Tuesday 15th March, members of the Push Snowboarding team, alongside Nick Sargent from Burton Snowboards, will be hosting an official SxSW panel to discuss the Nokia x Burton collaboration, Push Snowboarding. This will be a chance to see the snowboard sensor technology they’ve developed over the last 6 months, a chance to discuss the possibilities for the future of the project and how it’s been received by snowboarders. The panel kicks off at 12.30pm CDT and is being held at the SxSW AT&T Conference Centre in the Grand Ballroom. Come down and ask some questions!

Headed down to one of the SxSW Push discussions? Why not check out the original Nokia Push project, Push N900 and current Nokia N8 Push projects, Push N8 and Push Snowboarding and don’t forget to check in with #NokiaConnects if you attend either of the Push discussions, you may even receive a random act of kindness!
