The Nokia Shorts Competition: Are you the next big thing?

If you’ve ever had a thirst to get behind the camera and create some visual genius then this may well be the competition for you. Whether you’re a script writer, video producer or budding amateur, we want you to put on your creative hat and get filming.

The competition is to create a video pitch of an idea for a short film/video that is no longer than two minutes. Be as creative as you like! Videos should be accompanied with a 100 word description and submitted to Nokia’s Vimeo channel.

Eight of the best shorts will receive funding to go ahead and bring their idea to life .  They will receive $5,000 to produce the full version and two Nokia N8’s to film on. Not only that but their shorts will get a full debut screening at the Edinburgh International Film Festival 2011!

The best of the eight will go on to receive a $10,000 cash prize.

For further details just visit the Nokia Shorts website and check out the video below!
