I’m sure you’ll agree that we have all seen too many devastating images from Japan recently. I guess it goes without saying that our hearts are with Japanese people and we hope for a fast recovery for their nation.
One important lesson we’ve learned from the recent images and videos captured in Japan is how mobile imaging plays a crucial role in media and news nowadays. Take the videos and images of the catastrophes. These were online in mere minutes after the accidents happened. They played a major role in sharing key information with the world. For me personally, I believe that a picture is worth a thousand words and that it really helps to put things into perspective.
Even though over the past few weeks we have seen some horrifying images from Japan I wanted to remind our readers that that´s not all Japan is about. Japan is a country of tremendous natural beauty and solidarity. Solidarity is difficult to express in photographs but it´s something you should experience your self. Natural beauty is a completely different story. Taking a stunning picture in a place that beautiful feels almost criminally easy. Point your camera somewhere, press the shutter, and you have stored something amazing on your memory card. Here´s few images from my recent trip to prove my point.
It’s not just Japan that has stunning natural beauty, we’d love to see your favourite photos taken from anywhere around the world!
