Friday’s Pick and Mix #44 – time for some FastMotion videos

GLOBAL – It’s a beautiful day here in London, plus it’s a Friday, which makes it double extra special. Throw in the fact it’s now time for Friday’s Pick and Mix and that makes it a hat trick. Today we’ve taken a look at what people are doing with their Nokia N8 and the FastMotion app and collected some great videos for you to watch. Take a look.

The FastMotion app from Ovi Store lets you take timed photos, stitching them back at the end into a movie. For this you’ll need a steady hand, though. Here’s five videos we thought were pretty good.

Here’s a plant growing out of the ground, by phonetorch.

Driving through a city is confusing enough, this video by Zombie Explosion make it look even more so.

As the sun rises and we start our busy days, think of the little flowers as they open up and soak up the rays. Provided by phonetorch, once again.

We’ve all thought it, haven’t we? What does a bus stop with a acoustic guitar playing in the background look like? Well, maybe we haven’t, but the visual and the sound works rather well. Thanks to my4keys for the video.

And last but not least, the guys over at AllAboutSymbian put together a review of this app some time back. Here’s their test video of a candle melting on a cake.

There’s not many videos out there of this app in action, so we’d be delighted if you could share with us your own attempts at speeding something up. Share them with us, below.
